Benefits of Yoga Nidra

How Yoga Nidra can change your life

The intention of a sincere Yogi or Yogini is to yoke / merge finite self with Infinite Self, this is only obtainable through the complete practice of yoga which includes all eight limbs of yoga, namely Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana through to Samadhi. The last four limbs are different levels of the states of the mind that we slip into to attain Samadhi. Our minds and emotions play a very powerful role in our health and fulfilment in life. Yoga Asana has boomed all over the planet, but yoga asana is essentially for the physical body, it has a certain impact on the mind and emotions but for complete merge of the finite self and the Infinite Self to take place, and to transform the person that sees, we need to purify our minds, our thoughts, our emotions, our words and intentions. The practice for this is meditation, however meditation is a skill that needs to be mastered. Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique that can be used to master meditation, at the same time it also clears out old programs, habits and beliefs that we have on a subconscious level that we are not aware of. These block us in repetitive self sabotaging behaviour that stops us from moving forward into a life of completion. If we can remove these programs that no longer serve us and implement new transforming suggestions to the subconscious mind, a life of contentment and fulfillment is within reach. In Yoga Nidra scientific techniques are used to withdraw the conscious mind and bring the subconscious mind to the fore, where we can successfully imprint new authentic suggestions to the subconscious mind, and this is extremely powerful because they remain there and transformation on the person that sees begins to occur. The language of the subconscious mind is used in the practice which is specific pictures, specific words, and feelings to imprint suggestions to release past traumatic scars and any unwanted old programs held in the subconscious that keeps us blocked in old self defeating behaviour of thought, feelings and word. What yogis have known for years and what modern science is now proving is that what we think, feel and say and our intentions, is what we are creating as our experience in life and hence the importance of the practice to purify these tools for creating more harmonious life experiences. People that want to transform their minds and their lives need to implement this beautiful sacred healing practice into their lives to see the change they wish to see. The strong connection between intuition and alignment

Following our intuition in yoga encourages us to sometimes step out of alignment, embracing variations of poses, and allowing our body to move and groove to its own rhythm rather than that instructed by the yoga teacher.

I met Julia at a retreat and she is an amazing teacher and a really lovely human. I loved how she didn't rush through the process and we really went back to basics, while at the same time learning a wide variety of things about yoga, from how to do a certain asana to yogic wisdom. It was obvious that Julia knows a lot and she is also really good at sharing it with others. She redefined in my mind what a good yoga teacher is.

Julia is one of the most precious yoga teacher I’ve ever had! I would recommend all her practices with a special mention for her yoga nidra. I got so relaxed and so deeply calmed down by her voice during each session, she helped me letting it go towards either a tight sleep or for restful nap. Very powerful experience and human being. thank you Warrior Princess!
