A student’s perspective on Office Yoga

I had the very best of luck two years ago when I got in touch with Warrior Princess Yoga and the amazing yoga teacher Julia Gräßer. Julia introduced me to yoga and yoga has now become an important part in life for my health and wellbeing. Thanks Julia.

I think we all were challenged in many different ways during the covid19 pandemic.
Julia fast switched from providing classes in her studio to provide all her classes online, live-streamed. It worked fantastic! What Julia added to her weekly schedule was a 25min office yoga class. Monday to Friday at 11.00-11.25.

I started to love and long for these 25min. Working from home, sitting still for hours in front of my laptop the office yoga break became my ”life-saver”. I was amazed ”how much you can do” in only 20-25min, not having to change clothes nor using a yoga math. The daily office yoga made me strong, happy, relaxed and much, much more productive at work and at home!

When Julia this summer (2021) offered a 30 hours office yoga teachers training, I were very quick to sign up and apply. Julia is a fantastic teacher. Julia knows how to teach and her insights and knowledge about yoga is rich and very deep. Above this Julia spread and share her energy, love and her passion together with an endless beautiful and big smile.

In the office yoga teacher training I got to learn the basics in yoga philosophy and anatomy. How to structure and built classes. I got to learn and practice asana, pranayama and meditation. We were challenged from the very beginning in how to teach classes. It was 4 intensive and fun weeks with yoga and I truly enjoyed and loved it. In the end we got a beautiful manual covering everything that Julia has shared with us during the 4 weeks. This was my first yoga teacher training. The way Julia challenged and supported us made me grow as a person and professional. I now feel comfortable to teach office yoga online and offline with colleagues and friends. I warmly recommend you to take this office yoga teacher training with Julia.

I won’t lie and say I never feel fear, oh I do, but when she speaks, I allow myself to breathe and then I listen to her with my heart instead of my head and realize there is someone present, someone that needs to be heard and not abandoned or shamed. I’ve grown to have a deeper respect for where she came from, and now she is no longer at the steering wheel of my life.

I met Julia at a retreat and she is an amazing teacher and a really lovely human. I loved how she didn't rush through the process and we really went back to basics, while at the same time learning a wide variety of things about yoga, from how to do a certain asana to yogic wisdom. It was obvious that Julia knows a lot and she is also really good at sharing it with others. She redefined in my mind what a good yoga teacher is.

Julia is one of the most precious yoga teacher I’ve ever had! I would recommend all her practices with a special mention for her yoga nidra. I got so relaxed and so deeply calmed down by her voice during each session, she helped me letting it go towards either a tight sleep or for restful nap. Julia ably and effortlessly led a vinyasa class with clear instruction and really helpful assists. She spoke about philosophy just the right amount, there was still plenty of space and quiet to really get into the practice. Thank you Julia!! I loved it
